I appreciate Commissioner Kaufman bringing forward a resolution that acknowledges the Monroe County Grand Jury's findings and begins a public review of its recommendations. I encourage the Commission to strengthen the resolution by establishing a clear timeline for the City Manager and City Attorney to return with implementation options and by ensuring that any citizen advisory committee is independent and free from conflicts of interest. The public deserves a process that is transparent, accountable, and focused on meaningful action rather than indefinite study.
