Two Maintenance Personnel - 152K.
Is 76K comparable to existing Parks and Recs. Maintenance, Full-Time Equivalent, positions?
For 250K, will KWPD be on site 24/7?
Why two officers? Backup is minutes away.
The net benefit in 2030 & 2031 is $9,600. & $7,900, 'IF' all goes well! What happens when ALL DOES NOT GO WELL?
West Martello is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been successfully stewarded for more than 70 years through Monroe County’s partnership with the Key West Garden Club.
Before any transfer moves forward, the community needs clear, written assurances that the tower’s historic character and quiet atmosphere will be protected — not just maintained. “Streamlining operations” cannot become a pathway to commercialization or expanded high-impact events.
Please ensure the interlocal agreement includes enforceable use protections and dedicated, long-term preservation funding.
