    These are the last big trees left on Mickens Lane and are the main shade trees for the next door property 'The Chicken Preserve', as well as the only wild life habitat left! The only reason these shade trees 'need' to go is the planned development for two MARKET VALUE units, NOT affordable housing in any shape or form. Since 630 Mickens Lane also has an ACTIVE BENEFICIAL USE ALLOCATION, there is no point in removing all the trees, as this means only ONE new unit can be built to begin with. Surely this can be without killing the trees? City of Key West please doublecheck on this project across departments, as R. Ramsingh and J. Young have been very 'involved' on this little lane...
