The mass/height of the proposed building is significantly greater than each of the houses abutting the 704 structure. The proposed building will undoubtedly be visible on Fleming above the structures that face Fleming Street and abut 704. All are much shorter and will not block its imposing height. Mr. Bender’s use of 701 and 703 Fleming as comparables is offensively misleading as they do not border 704. 709, 711 and 715 are the homes that abut 704 and are shorter. The height of 715 is 12’8” versus 24’6’ for 704. 704 is almost double in height compared to 715 (12 feet higher) and will be visible above it. I hope the commission considers the impact on the visual façade of historic Fleming.
