Pages 6 & 7 of the Staff Report show the exposed roots - some 7 inches. The roots touch the city sidewalk, are next to the property sidewalk, and pass under the front stairs posing foundation risks. The roots preclude seamless entrance and egress from front to back of the house presenting a potential safety issue during an emergency. They impede moving waste cans from the HOA designated storage area to the street. Many roots require trimming and this may have a negative impact on its health. We will replace the tree minimizing the environmental impact. A reasonable person would express similar concerns. Thank you for your consideration.
