4 25-3308 *Granting an exemption from the Noise Control Ordinance pursuant to Section 6-86 of the Code of Ordinances to Patagonia Ventures, LLC for a wedding at the Viva Argentinian Steakhouse at 903 Duval Street; Pursuant to Section 6-86 of the Code of Ordinances from 8:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
My name is Nancy Coward and I own property at 516 Olivia St, a legally licensed transient rental within 100 feet of the event.
My guests are entitled to quiet enjoyment of the property and creating amplified noise until 4:00AM in our neighborhood is an unreasonable request. Approval of this application will start a slippery slope in our HRCC-3 zone which is specifically intended for less intensive uses. Events like these should be held in our HRCC-1 commercial core and not adjacent to guesthouses and residences that will be negatively affected by their event.
Please vote “No” on this application out of respect for our residents and visitors, master plan, and established noise ordinance.
