The size of this structure is not in keeping with the surrounding homes. Allowing construction of a large, taller structure placed only 9 inches from front property line will detract from the neighborhood. This was raised at the Planning Commission where this item was denied. While I understand that updated ordinances eliminated the need for a variance for the setbacks, the resulting impact of building the largest structure possible, complete with a pool on this site, still remains. I would again request that the applicant compromise and create a design that does not necessitate using all but 9 inches of the 10 ft front yard setback. Thank you.
