*Authorizing a waiver of the one percent public art set-aside requirement for the Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) Health Center at 727 Fort Street, with permission to use donated or loaned art works to fulfill that obligation, pursuant to Section 2-487(c)(1)c of the Code of Ordinances.
Please politely vote NO. This is a minor project cost for an organization the size of CHI of South Florida, a multi-million dollar nonprofit organization. We have a small public art set-aside ordinance for a good reason. This minor set-aside reflects the importance of art to our community, to our artists, to our residents, and perhaps most importantly to the very cultural history of our island that makes us attractive and successful. Please protect the interests of your constituents and visitors and stand up to those seeking political favors by voting NO. Thank you.
