Hello. I strongly oppose this agenda item. It would be an absolute shame to risk losing several mature, beautiful, shading, HEALTHY, FRUITING trees that took decades to grow in order to pave the way for a development that may or may not ever even happen. While removing trees may be absolutely necessary in certain situations, it is evident that this is NOT one of them. As a resident who has lived beside these trees for over 20 years, I believe that it is vital for us to ensure their safety, for both the integrity of our neighborhood and the character of our historic old town community.
As a 20 plus yr adjacent neightbor I object to this agenda item. Application lists 7 to be removed (not just 5 as listed on the agenda). It appears we risk losing trees only to expedite potential construction plans of future owner (prop is for sale) & w/out factual basis in "health/safety" - Majestic & stately fan palms (trees 6 & 7, not listed in agenda but on application) did not suffer any damage during a fairly recent cat 4 storm. Mango listed as "no fruit" is patently false, as the tree has always fruited. A large shed was removed to make room for a driveway, & to accommodate that driveway the app requests moving a mature Sapodilla risking health of this tree, while prop is for sale.
