You deserve credit for extraordinary handling of this public health crisis. In our unique circumstances, geographic isolation, limited ICU beds/equipment/health care personnel, and contiguous counties with over 60% of Florida cases, we all understand that a modest spread in our community could occur quickly and overwhelm our resources. Is it possible that we can prioritize access to increased testing?Identifying others in the community carrying the virus to be isolated is critical to lowering risk of spread. Additionally, will you please consider narrowing the list of essential businesses? For example, many other states consider activities such as construction not essential.Thank You!

Our entire tourist industry has been shut down due to the COVID-19. With most people here being dependent on tourism for their source of income, I think that something needs to be done about rent payments. While the virus is of immediate concern and it is necessary to mandate a shut-down of this industry, it is also of immediate concern the economic disaster that this has created. My roommates lost their jobs, and my landlord has made it clear that he has no intention of helping us. There needs to be a freeze or mandated reduction of rent in order for us to survive. Please consider this as the end of the month is nearing and people are facing greater and greater sacrifices to make rent.

Our family fully supports your efforts to curb virus spread. Rocky start but decisions and execution really seem to be going in the right direction. Based on what we are seeing with New Orleans and Miami, we fear that more drastic measures such as a lock-down will be required. If (IF) we do this, how would you see this work? What would we still have access to and how would that access work? How would it be enforced? What efforts are being made by grocery stores to insure supplies continue and, maybe with paper & cleaning products, improved? How are our hospital and emergency services positioned in regards to protective gear? Have they been able to stock up for a surge in demand?

Disappointed that the city hasn't taken a stricter stance on social distancing and restricting people to stay at home and leading by example with city workers. I truly can't believe the posts showing the city is making public works, transportation and other blue collar workers do improvements in the city during this hard time. This send the wrong message about the seriousness of the spread of this virus and acts as if only their white collar, office staff deserve to be socially isolated and blue collar employees get out to work as if they're immune to getting and spreading COVID19. Not setting the right example for the rest of businesses and citizens that should be staying at home.
